A Journey from the Heart
Our Story and Mission
In Moms Memory began before I even knew it had started. I strive to offer gentle, trustworthy support through the most challenging moments of life. My mission is to honor each loved one with heartfelt care and provide compassionate grief support that fosters healing and peace for families of all backgrounds.
Hi, I'm Veronica—a mom of two daughters and a woman on a mission to turn my deepest loss into meaningful service for others.
My Mom Was My Hero
My mom was the kind of person who gave everything to everyone around her. She worked at a day center for homeless seniors and people with disabilities, and she changed lives every single day. I never wanted for love, support, or affection—and neither did anyone else who knew her. She was selfless, compassionate, and absolutely amazing.
In 2013, our world came crashing down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I became her primary caretaker, going to every appointment I could and supporting her in any way I knew how. Through those difficult months, I realized something profound: I wanted to be just like her. I wanted her compassion, her empathy, her ability to make a real difference in people's lives.
She passed away on her birthday in 2015. Last year marked 10 years without her.
Turning Grief Into Purpose
During these last 10 years, I've been in therapy, healing from trauma, and working through the grief. But I've also been reflecting on what I learned during my mom's final months—and what was missing. There were gaps in the support we received. Moments when we needed guidance, comfort, and someone to help us navigate the overwhelming emotions and decisions that come with end-of-life care.
My Dream: Supporting Families Through Life's Hardest Goodbye
I want to be the support for other families that I wish mine had when we had needed it. I want to help people navigate grief, paperwork, planning, and goodbyes so that the patient's final days are meaningful and their families can focus on what matters most—being present with their loved one.
I am certified through the University of Vermont's End of Life Doula program, and am currently in the process of taking their Pediatric End of Life Doula Specialist Certification so I can serve families with children facing the end of a life before it had a chance to truly begin. Even short lives hold tremendous meaning and I will help you're family highlight the beautiful moments and celebrate the time left.
I have faced this journey with more loved ones than any 41 year old should have had to face at this stage of life, but I am ready to turn that pain into purpose and help others navigate this beautiful, meaningful and at the same time heartbreaking journey.
